Qvevri dry red wine is made from Otskhanuri Sapere grape variety, which is cultivated in the region of Imereti, located within Western Georgia. Wine is in skin contact for the first six months, and then it is poured into empty Qvevri until bottled.
This deeply colored ruby wine boasts an intense, juicy attack with flavors of fruit jam, hints of pepper, vanilla and cherry. On the palate it is full-bodied, energetic, and long, satisfying finish.
Best served with meat dishes, ham, steak, barbeque, spicy food and smoked as well as mutton cheese.
